Potable Water

To compliment the wastewater division of the company we also have within our resources dedicated teams with specific knowledge and training to carry out works within the potable water sector. The works are undertaken to our usual high standard of Health and Safety and environmental issues are of up most importance.

All manner of works are undertaken including:

• Refurbishment of buildings, drainage, tanks and lagoons
  
  This can include structural repairs to water towers, water retaining structures, the renewal of existing pipework within a Water Treatment or Borehole Extraction site and repairs to lagoon linings and tanks of various constructions.



• Aeration plants
  
  Construction of either reinforced concrete and steel structures specifically to house aeration equipment or alterations to existing buildings to accept a new plant.



• R.C structures including M&E elements
  
  The design and construction of a reinforced concrete structure for water treatment purposes including the installation of power, telemetry and instrumental equipment.



• Pumping mains – installed, chlorinated and tested
  
  Installation by various methods, either open cut or directional drilling. We have trained personnel with extensive experience in pumping main installation, jointing and testing requirements.



• Lagoon construction and removal of waste material
  
  This can involve utilising the earth moving experience within the company to carry out extensive earth works operations to create new lagoons for either raw water treatment or containment. A build up of Iron sludge is often a problem within lagoons and our experience includes a cost effective, environmentally friendly solution to the removal and disposal of the sludge.

As well as works on existing potable water sites we also undertake the installation of new apparatus to supplement the existing potable water supply infrastructure, this includes:

• Meter installation
• Mains and service laying
• Repairs and refurbishment of existing mains
